This one has been lying around for a while. I've simply been too lazy to find my scanner
This pretty gal is EthiranaŽll, the princess of the ancient Deerfolk. The Deerfolk is highly influenced by the Elves in their way of living; they too are gentle, elegant, and beautiful creatures with many important traditions, for example holy marriages.
EthiranaŽll was promised away to the son of a great general the day she turned 17 Summers. Their marriage was planned long ago by the Priestess of the Holy Temple who said that the marriage between the princess and the general's son would please the Goddess and strengthen the peace.
Normally (in this universe), even female deer have antlers - although only small and decorative ones. However, being of royal blood, EthiranaŽll possessed great antlers to show her status. Once she turned 17, her antlers were cut down; as a wife, it is forbidden to wear a "crown" greater than the one of your husband, and seeing as the general's son is not of royal blood, it is natural for EthiranaŽll to grow antlers of the same size (or slightly larger) than his.
Even though it is a holy marriage with a highly respected and handsome young man, EthiranaŽll is not entirely devoted to it, nor has she developed any great feelings for the general's son. This is why she is looking unhappy in the picture while looking at her engagement ring. She is to marry very soon, once the final preparations are done.EthiranaŽll is pronounced= [»-thi-rŠ-nŠ-Ťll]
(EthiranaŽll is based on the looks of a White Tailed Deer.)
